The Cyber Essentials certification Scheme is a Government-backed framework, developed and managed by the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) and delivered by the IASME Consortium (IASME), aimed at helping organisations safeguard their internet-facing devices, networks and systems against 80% of the most common cyber attacks. The Scheme offers two levels of certification; Cyber Essentials, or Cyber Essentials Plus, the higher-level qualification.
Certification against the Scheme demonstrates a clear commitment to safeguarding not only the security of business operations in general, but also the sensitive information of clients, partners and other stakeholders.
Cobham Ltd is proud to announce that we have recently renewed Cyber Essentials Plus certification. This involved a comprehensive vulnerability scan and an independent technical audit of our systems to verify our effective implementation of the five control themes (access control, secure configuration, patch management, malware protection and firewalls), as well as our full compliance with the requirements of the Scheme. The assessment was conducted by accredited certification body, URM Consulting Services.
URM’s assessor commented:
“Cobham Ltd incorporated the provided advice and successfully complied with the scheme's requirements”.
As a Cyber Essentials Plus certified organisation, Cobham Ltd will now be searchable on the IASME website’s ‘Cyber Essentials Certificate Search’, which lists all organisations that hold a valid Cyber Essentials or Cyber Essentials Plus certificate.
